The work deals with leaching of TiAl-waste under laboratory conditions and scale up of the leaching
process using hydrochloric acid. The different samples were leached after crushing, grinding,
and sieving with a solution of hydrochloric acid. The effects of acid concentration, agitation time,
solid/liquid ratio and fraction size on the efficiency of leaching were investigated. When two hours
agitation time, 10 % solid/liquid ratio and 1M hydrochloric acid were applied then the best results
of the leaching of yttrium were obtained under laboratory conditions. The optimal leaching parameters
were tested in 100 L reactors.
